Prof Dr Oscar Matzinger appointed member of the Executive Board

Swiss Medical Network is pleased to announce the appointment of a new member to the General Management: Prof Oscar Matzinger, MD. From 1 September 2025, Oscar Matzinger will be responsible for medical matters and medical coordination as a member of the Executive Board.

The FMH specialist in radio-oncology has been Medical Director of Radio-Oncology and Head of the Swiss Radio Oncology Network (SRON) since 2019.

With his broad expertise in state-of-the-art technologies such as CyberKnife® and Radixact and in establishing quality standards, he shapes multidisciplinary collaboration throughout the network.

In addition to his strategic role, Prof Matzinger remains clinically active in radio-oncology. He is also involved as Vice President of the Swiss Society of Radio-Oncology (SRO), President of the Ligue Vaudoise contre le Cancer (LVC) and, since July 2024, Professor of Practice at ETH Zurich.
